Mobile App Design
Fair Care Solutions is an organization that leverages technology within the healthcare sector to improve and better understand the quality of care. In the existing situation, this quality was measured using paper-based forms that healthcare professionals had to fill out during conversations with elderly clients.
This resulted in reduced focus on the client, increased administrative issue, and inefficient information management. It takes to much time for the department to apply those information.
As a result, there was a clear need for a digital solution that would make the process simpler, faster, and more user-friendly.
The solution was the development of a mobile application that enables healthcare professionals to complete questionnaires together with elderly clients in an accessible way. In addition, an NFC feature was integrated, allowing professionals to easily scan the client’s care card. This ensures that information is instantly linked and stored within the organization, creating a more efficient and reliable process.
During the project, I followed the design process: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. I did a research on the target group, particularly elderly users, to better understand how they interact with digital products. The findings showed that simplicity, clear typography, color contrast, and ease of use are crucial factors. Based on these insights,
I designed and tested multiple interface variations of the questionnaire with healthcare professionals to determine which solution best fits the needs of the target group.
The final result is a user-friendly application that helps healthcare professionals work faster and more efficiently, while keeping elderly users comfortably and actively involved in the process.
The impact is that the quality of care can be better measured and improved, leading to higher satisfaction and improved daily well-being for clients.
